Before Bringing Your Cat Home
You need cat food, dishes for food and water, interactive toys, brush, a special collar for cat, nail-file for nails, sand and litter box.
Feeding Your Cat
An adult cat should be fed once a large amount, or twice in smaller amounts, every day. Kittens 6 to 12 weeks of age need to be fed 4 times a day. Kittens 3 to 6 months need to be fed 3 times daily. You can give specific foods, canned and throwing the rest that fits on the plate to spend 30 minutes. Or give dry food and leave it out for them.
Cleanliness
Most cats stay relatively clean and rarely need a bath, but they do require you to brush and comb them. Frequent brushing helps keep the skin clean and reduces the knots in her hair.
Your Home
Cats must have a clean and dry area in your home. Your cat's bed should have a soft and warm blanket or towel. Be sure to wash your cat's bed sheets regularly. Please maintain your cat indoors. If allowed to go outside, it can get diseases, fleas, parasites, can be lost or be injured by a car, injured in a cat suit, or poisoned.
ID Tags
Your cat needs to wear a secure collar and identification medal. An elastic collar that will allow you to break safe in the event that your cat will get the collar caught on something. An identification medal, or a microchip, or tattoo can help you find your cat and if lost.
Litter Box
All cats that live indoors should have a litter box to relieve himself. It should be placed in a safe, quiet, and accessible area. If your home has more than one level, place a litter box on each floor. Avoid moving the box site, unless it is necessary. Do it little by little, inch by inch.
Cats do not use a dirty and/or smelly box. Throw away the solid waste and clean the sand with a shovel at least once a day. Once a week, remove all the sand in the box and replace it with clean sand, (do not use ammonia). Do not use deodorants or scents in the sand or litter box and avoid any lemon scent.
